How it works

This page sets a 100 KB target before you upload an image. ResizeKit tries to find a compact output using browser image export.

A 100 KB limit is very small, so WebP and reduced dimensions are often needed for photos.

When to use this tool

Use this page for strict portals, tiny thumbnails, low-bandwidth sharing and upload forms that reject larger images.

For large photos, compressing under 100 KB may require using WebP or JPG and reducing the pixel dimensions before or after compression.

Privacy

The selected image never leaves the browser. Compression and preview are handled locally on your device.

Limitations

Some images cannot reach 100 KB while remaining useful. If the result cannot reach the target, the tool shows the smallest size it could create.

Compress under 100KB FAQ

Is 100KB realistic for every image?

No. Large photos often need both resizing and WebP compression to get that small.

Will quality be reduced?

Usually yes. A 100 KB target often requires stronger compression.

Is my image stored anywhere?

No. ResizeKit processes the file locally and does not upload or store it.
